Reporting a wrong result

This is the most useful message you can send. To get it fixed quickly, please include:

• which calculator you were using
• the exact values you entered
• the result you saw, and the result you expected
• where your expected figure came from, if you have a source

Anything reproducible gets investigated. If a formula is genuinely wrong it is corrected and the accompanying article is updated at the same time.

Suggesting a calculator

Suggestions are welcome, particularly for calculations you currently do by hand or in a spreadsheet. Telling us what you are actually trying to work out is more useful than naming a tool — the underlying problem often has a better solution than the one being asked for.
