Tax & Salary Calculators

Indian income tax, GST, TDS, HRA exemption, gratuity and take-home pay, with the slab-by-slab working shown for the current financial year.

Indian tax arithmetic is rarely hard. What makes it hard is that the rules change every Budget and the details decide the answer. Whether six months of service rounds up, whether your city counts as a metro for HRA, whether marginal relief applies just above the rebate line: each is worth thousands of rupees and none is obvious from the form.

These calculators state the financial year they apply to in the page itself, because a stale tax figure that looks current is worse than none. The income tax calculator shows the working slab by slab so you can check it against Form 16 rather than trust it. The TDS calculator handles the question every small business asks, which is what to deduct from an invoice and what to book when the vendor insists on a net figure.

They cover salaried income under both regimes, GST in both directions, and the common TDS sections. They do not cover capital gains, which have their own rates, or business income of any complexity. For those, and for any large one-off event, sit with a chartered accountant. These are planning tools, not a return.
